Privacy policy.

PromoEQP ("PromoEQP," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to promoeqp.com and the PromoEQP member program.

Information we collect

• Information you provide — your name, company name, email address, mailing address, phone number, industry affiliation, and similar details submitted through our trial form, account registration, or when you contact us.
• Billing information — subscription and payment details processed by our payment provider. We do not store complete card numbers on our systems.
• Usage information — pages visited, links clicked, and similar analytics collected automatically to operate and improve the site.

How we use your information

We use your information to create and maintain your account, process subscription billing, respond to inquiries, provide customer support, send service and program communications, and meet our legal obligations.

SMS / text messaging

If you provide your mobile number and opt in, you consent to receive SMS text messages from PromoEQP related to your account, billing, trial status, and program updates. Opting in to text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

• Message frequency varies based on your account activity.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you reply STOP, we will send a single confirmation message and then stop sending texts.

• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors that support our services — for example, messaging platform providers acting on our behalf — is permitted solely to deliver the messages you have requested. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third parties for their own use.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with: service providers who perform functions on our behalf (such as payment processing, email and SMS delivery, and analytics) under obligations of confidentiality; and government or legal authorities when required by law or to protect our rights. As noted above, mobile opt-in data and consent are excluded from all sharing other than delivery of the messages you requested.

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, compliance, and operational requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

Your choices and rights

You may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, and opt out of marketing communications, by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws. To exercise any right, email info@promoeqp.com.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

PromoEQP is a business service intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

PromoEQP Companion (browser extension)

PromoEQP Companion is an optional browser extension for PromoEQP distributor members. This section describes what it does with your information, and is in addition to the rest of this policy.

• Signing in — when you sign in through the extension, your login ID or email address and your password are sent once, over an encrypted connection, to dashboard.promoeqp.com. They are used for that one request, to verify who you are and issue the extension a device token. Your password is not stored by the extension, is not written to disk, and is not logged.
• The device token — the token the extension receives is stored locally on that device, in the browser's extension storage. It is deliberately stored in a way that does not synchronize to other computers signed into the same browser profile, because it is a credential for one device. It is labeled with your browser and operating system, for example "Chrome on Windows," so you can tell your devices apart. Each token is listed under API Access in Settings on the PromoEQP dashboard, where you can revoke it at any time. Revoking a token signs that browser out.
• What is stored on your device — so that the extension works quickly and offline, it keeps a local copy of the current month's EQP discount code, the PromoEQP supplier catalog and its pricing policies, PromoEQP's own What's New list, and your name, email address, company, and membership status as returned by PromoEQP. Signing out of the extension deletes all of it, along with the token.
• Websites you visit are not collected — the extension reads the web address of the tab you are currently viewing in order to tell whether you are on a partner supplier's website, so it can show you that supplier's benefits when you click the toolbar icon. This happens entirely on your own computer: the supplier catalog is downloaded to your device and the comparison is made there. The address of the page you are on is never sent to PromoEQP or to anyone else, and no record of the sites you visit is created, stored, or transmitted. The extension does not change the content of any website you visit. It does read the visible text of pages as they load, on your own device and for the one purpose described under Suppliers named on the page you are viewing below, and it keeps none of it.
• Suppliers named on the page you are viewing — the extension reads the visible text of the page you are on, as it loads and when you open the popup, to find PromoEQP suppliers named there by ASI number, SAGE number, or name, so the toolbar icon can show a dollar sign and the popup can show your benefits with that supplier while you work in tools such as ESP, SAGE Web, or DistributorCentral, search the web, or read a supplier's email. Your email is the exception: pages on webmail sites such as Gmail, Outlook, and Yahoo Mail are read only when you open the popup on them, never as they load. This happens entirely on your own computer: the text is compared with the supplier catalog already on your device and then discarded. It is never stored, never logged, and never sent to PromoEQP or to anyone else. On Firefox, reading pages as they load starts only after you allow it. You can switch all of this off in the extension's Settings, and your browser's extension settings let you limit which sites it may read. One thing you can choose to send yourself: if a site is not a PromoEQP supplier and you click "Request this supplier," the extension opens PromoEQP's support form with that website's address and name filled in, so we know which supplier you are asking about. Nothing is sent until you click, and you see and submit the request yourself.
• Supplier deals — partner suppliers can pay PromoEQP to show a current deal inside the extension. When you open the extension's Deals tab, it tells PromoEQP which deals were shown to you, and when you open a deal, that you opened it. PromoEQP shares that with the supplier who placed the deal — your name and company, and which deal — so they can see who engaged with it. Together with the read marks described under What's new at PromoEQP below, this is the only activity the extension records. A deal shown alongside a supplier's benefits on that supplier's own website is not reported as seen, so nothing about the sites you visit is sent; only what you do inside the extension itself. Members are never charged for deals or for the extension.
• What's new at PromoEQP — the extension keeps a copy of the same What's New list you see on the PromoEQP dashboard — events, webinars, new suppliers, ProDev episodes, and announcements — and shows it in the popup, with a count of unread items on the toolbar icon when you are on promoeqp.com. When you open an item or choose "Mark all read," the extension tells PromoEQP which items you marked read so the dashboard shows the same thing. That is the only information sent, it is sent only when you click, and nothing is sent because you visited promoeqp.com or any other site.
• Staying signed in — when the extension signs you in to the PromoEQP dashboard, it asks PromoEQP for a single-use web address and opens it. Your browser then establishes a session with PromoEQP the same way it would if you had typed your password into the website. The extension does not create, read, or store the session itself.
• Who your information is shared with — no one, other than the supplier engagement described under Supplier deals above. The extension communicates only with dashboard.promoeqp.com. It contains no advertising, no analytics, no tracking pixels, and no third-party services of any kind. Nothing it collects is sold, rented, or transferred to a third party.
• Removing it — uninstalling the extension removes everything it stored on that device. To revoke the device's access at the PromoEQP end as well, revoke its token under API Access in Settings.
